Preside over the instruction of the Introduction to 3-D Design, Sculpture 1 and 2 classes as well as the Metal Arts, Metal Casting Techniques, Clay to Bronze and Woodworking and Welding for Sculpture classes at Diablo Valley College. Instruct students in the fundamentals of the sculptural process, introduction to techniques, materials and historical and contemporary understandings of sculpture. Instruct the students in the making of their own individual sculptural projects based upon the fundamentals of 3-dimensional design and the principles of wood and metal working, armature building, mold making, ceramic sculpting and metal casting techniques.

Presiding over a workshop to intermediate and advanced art students in which we focused on creating a project that would combine my own approach to art making with the students individual interests in nature, mythology and the act of deconstructing and reconstructing. Students were introduced to working with found objects mixed media and the basics of bronze casting and mold making which resulted in a small bronze relief.

CAP is a community art education and ecology program devoted to bringing environmental awareness and stewardship to local communities and schools through the practice of art in Southern Pacific Costa Rica. Residency involved the implementation of multiple, interdisciplinary art projects based around the environmental and social concerns of the people, including the need for sustainable fishing and farming techniques, recording of oral history, local cuisine and importance of local leaders.
